Personal Info privacy notice

Your conversations stay on your computer.

Updated October 15, 2026. This notice covers the Personal Info desktop plugin by ArkheOS on ArkheOS.ai. It does not replace Widget Canvas’s privacy notice.

What the plugin reads

Personal Info reads active and archived Codex rollout JSONL files from your configured CODEX_HOME, or your default .codex folder. It may read local title metadata. The bundled server searches those files to find source passages; the skill directs it to look for the specific detail needed for your request, including later corrections and who the detail belongs to. It does not modify or delete source files.

What stays on your device

The server creates a derived SQLite search index containing passage text, source locations, timestamps, and thread relationships. It also stores local reader pins. On Windows this data is under %LOCALAPPDATA%\CodexHistory\data\history unless you set HISTORY_DATA_HOME. History uses the same location if both plugins are installed. The optional reader listens on 127.0.0.1 with a random per-process token. The executable has no account sign-in, telemetry client, advertising code, or outbound network requests.

What reaches your conversation

When you use the plugin’s tools, selected search results and source excerpts are returned to the Codex or ChatGPT host. That host may retain them under its own settings and privacy terms. Ask only for details you want in that conversation. Retrieving a detail does not itself send it to another site or person.

Website and support

Cloudflare serves these pages and may process technical request data such as IP address and browser headers. The pages do not load advertising or analytics scripts. If you email support, we receive what you choose to send and use it to respond. Please do not email complete rollouts or secrets.

Retention and deletion

Codex controls the source rollout files. The plugin’s derived index and pins remain on your computer until you delete them; uninstalling the plugin does not remove them. Close the plugin and delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\CodexHistory, or your chosen HISTORY_DATA_HOME, to remove the derived data. This also removes History’s derived data if both plugins share the location, but it does not delete source rollouts. Contact support@arkheos.ai about support messages or deletion requests.
